DESCRIPTION: Austria, a late 18th century bracket clock, the molded base with cast, gilt feet, faux arch door with fabric backed frets at the upper corners, and caddy top, surrounded by four finials and with carrying handle, engraved brass dial with roman numeral, white enamel chapter ring, surrounded by cast spandrels, blued steel hands, patterned center with aperture for observation of mock pendulum, and boss in the arch with polychrome enamel scene with bird and basket of flowers, two train, two day movement with crown wheel escapement and rack striking, sounding the hours on a bell
CONDITION: case refinished, gilding with losses, finials and handle replaced, front door with repairs, dial with hairlines, scratches, and restoration, hands replaced, runs briefly, striking and repeating functional, pendulum bob replaced
